Letter to Lilly

I decided to write I letter to my beautiful daughter for her first birthday. I think this will be a tradition I do every year for the kids. 

Dear Sweet Lilly,

I am writing you this letter on the eve of your First birthday. Though you won't read it for many years I wanted to let you know how much you mean to me. I am often a sentimental mess when it comes to you and your brother. Just know it's because I love you so much. You've made my dreams come true. At times I feel like I am failing you. I am constantly reminded I am not when I look into your loving eyes. There is a special bond between you and I that is indescribable, I hope that never changes. 

This past year you've grown so much. From a tiny 5lb bundle to on the verge of walking. Each milestones is bittersweet. I am so proud of you, yet, breaks my heart at the same time. I know you will thrive in everything you do. I can't wait to see what this next year brings. From your first steps to your first words. 

I have high hopes for your future. You will grow into a strong, successful, grounded young women. Know that your Daddy and I will always be here. I am an open book about everything. If you ever had a problem or concern come to us. Though you will make mistakes in life, we we all do, they make you a better, smarter and stronger person. Trust in God. He will always be by your side. 

So, Baby Girl. Tomorrow you turn One. 365 days of diaper changes, bottles, cuddles, naps, play times,  baths, story times and sweet dreams. I wouldn't trade any of it for any worldly treasure. You. Are. My. Treasure. Happy birthday my Lilly bug. May all your dreams come true.

10 & 11 months

Hi all, I am beyond late on these posts!!! Life has been busy. Let's me tell ya, there hasn't been much spare time for blogging. But, alas I am here a nap time typing my fastest! ;) Miss Lilly is 4 days shy of 1 year. Please, someone tell me how in the world did this happen??? Since last post Lilly has grown leaps and bounds! She stands on the verge of walking. Has a huge vocabulary if sounds. Mama & Dada are clear as day. Eating solids. She loves baked potatoes, rice & beans and sweet potatoes. Loves playing with her big brother. Her favorite toy is her blocks or her mirror. Here are a ton of pucs to get your Lilly fix! :)

High hair redo!

Thought I'd do a quick post on Lilly's high chair redo! The chair was handed down once we had Ethan. He used it and loved it until he grew out of it. Pretty sure he was the third baby in it. Needless to say it was well loved and the stain was wearing off. We decided to re vamp it a little retro red for Lilly. Anthony sanded and painted it a fun high gloss red. I found some amazing fabric at my beloved Birch Fabrics for the pad. We love how it turned out!!!!

9 months

How is it that Lilly has been out of the womb just as long as she was in?! Time goes by so quickly these days! Little miss Lilly has reached all sorts of milestones since my last blog post. She has tried and liked (after some convincing) avocado. She is sitting up and on the verge of crawling, but not letting that stop her from moving all around the house by rolling or her commando shimmy. Just this morning learned to sit herself up. She is our social butterfly. Loves to wave. Smiles for almost every single picture. Has learned some new phrases like "da" and "ba" and almost has "ma" down! We just love her to pieces! 

This month as a family we have completed several things off our summer bucket list! Concerts in the Park, beach day, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the Ravine water park! So much fun!! It's hard to believe summer is about to come to a close! Hoping your summers are just as fun as ours!
