Lillian is One Month!

WOW, keeping up with a blog with two kiddos is hard! :) I can't believe it has been One Month since our little lady was born! It has been a whirlwind of sleep deprivation, feedings (bottle and boob), diapers, snuggles and love! She is such a happy baby! She is sleeping well at night. Still feeding every 3 hours but once in a while lets Mommy and Daddy sleep 6 hours straight! Ethan is adjusting just fine to being a big brother! She has changed so much already in this short time! We just LOVE her to pieces!!

Adjusting to life with two has been a little bit more of a challenging than I expected! I thought everything would be as easy as with one. It is not! I am still trying to get into my new groove as a Mommy to two. I think each day gets a little easier. It is hard because I am the type of person who feels like they have to have their stuff together, organized and on a schedule (most the time). Now seeing my Mom friends who do things with two so effortlessly I am in awe. I know one day I will get there or at least I hope! There is no way I could do it without Anthony. This is a team effort! He is up with me making bottles at 3 am, washing dishes, keeping Ethan busy, and occasionally consoling my Mommy meltdowns. He is my rock and I don't know what I would do without him! :)

We have been blessed with an abundance of meals that we are SOOO thankful for! It is amazing the stress relief of not having to cook for a night. We can not thank our friends and family enough! :)

The holiday season is upon us! We are getting ready to decorate and make this Christmas a special one as a family of four. Speaking of the number four.... Ethan's 4th birthday is also fast approaching. I can't believe he is FOUR!!!!!!!!!! What happen to my baby boy?!?!?! He is a full blown toddler now! Over half my height and getting more independent by the day! His new love, Star Wars! Everything can be turned into a X-Wing or Millennium Falcon! It's so fun to see his little imagination as work! :)

Until next time here are some pictures of our family for your enjoyment! ;) xoxo!

Welcome Lillian Breanne!

39 weeks my Mom came down to spend the final days with me just in case I went into labor while Anthony was working. After an uneventful week of crocheting and watching movies it was beginning to look like things weren't going to progress and I was going to have to be induced. Thursday on our way to lunch I started having some pain in my left side. For shiggles we decided to time these pains. They were happening every 20 mins and lasted about a minute. This continued throughout the night. Knowing we had our last Dr. appointment the next day we weren't very worried. I was able to sleep through them no problem. Friday comes and we discuss taking all our bags to the appointment just in case but decided not to and just play it by ear considering my contractions were still 20 apart. We arrive at my appointment and things are running behind schedule. Both doctors at the practice were out of town so the poor nurse practitioner was running the show. While in the waiting in the exam room my contractions seemed to be getting closer. By the time Vikki came in asked her questions and we chatted a bit she checked me for dilation. She tells us that I am 3 cm but during a contractions she can definitely make it 4cm. She asks what are plans for the day were. We tell her we were going to have lunch then do some last minute errands and head home. She advises us to just maybe go to lunch, do some walking around while timing my contractions. Before heading home to Paso go to the hospital and have them check me again. She doesn't want us going back home for fear the grade may break my water. She has a feeling that this baby is coming today! Walking out of the appointment we had to make a quick decision. Since I was at 3 cm I made the choice to rush home to grab our bags and my moms car. Anthony called his parents and told them to leave. They have been on high alert and they head out the door. That drive home was the fastest I've even seen Anthony drive. Once home we all grabbed our bags, Ethan's essentials and were out the door on the way back to San Luis. We all were starving so with the destination of Ben Franklin's Sandwiches we left. While in the car Anthony wants me to time the contractions just in case. I do so. I'm noticing a trend but am debating on telling him because at 39.75 weeks pregnant I wanted lunch! He asks and I finally tell him once we reach SLO that they are 3 mins apart. He quickly swerves lanes and head straight to the hospital. Upon arrival there we tell them what happened at the appointment this morning. They have me change to the oh so attractive hospital gown, check my vitals and check my dilation again. At this time I am 4cm-5cm dilated. They are going to admit me!! This was at 2:30 pm. Anthony's parents must have put the pedal to the metal they arrive to get Ethan at 3:20. Thankful they were there and poor little Ethan didn't have to witness his sister being born! LOL! At 3:30pm-ish our nurse Joy the anestitaologist comes in to do my epidural! Judge if you will I opted in! :) That took a little while so Anthony's parents, my Mom and Ethan went to get some food and bring Anthony something back. By now I am all hooked up and feeling good. They returned with Anthony a sandwich. After Anthony eats is sandwich they come back and check me I am now at "a good 6cm" says our nurse. She tells me when I start feel the any pressure to the urge to push let her know. So we wait and watch some HGTV. :) Around 7:30pm My in laws take Ethan back to our house. Little did he know that he will he a big brother when he comes back. At about 7:50pm the nurses come in to check my vitals and the doctor comes in and introduces himself and then proceeds to break by water. Ah, what a relief of pressure. We continue to hang out and watch TV. At 10:00pm the nurse comes in to check in. I tell her that there is a little pressure change so she checks my dilation. I am at 10cm and ready to have this baby. Nurse Joy and the other one (I can remember her name) suggest I do some practice pushes. We do about 4 and then she decided those were enough. Her head crowing the rush to get the doctor. Once Dr. Lickness comes in I do 1 big push and she is here! Delivered at 10:37pm in the craziest, mellowest, quickest delivery I've ever heard of! It still blows my mind.!

Lillian Breanne Severy chose her birthday to be November 2, 2012 and 10:37pm. She weighed 5lbs 11oz and was 18 1/2" long. She is beautiful and we are in love! :)

Mom and I hanging out! ;)

39 weeks - 8 days or bust!!

39 weeks now!!!!! We will be meeting our Baby Girl is 8 days or bust!! We had our weekly Dr. apptointment last Friday where he checked me for dilation. I was 1/2 thinned out, no dilation. We agreed if I haven't gone into labor naturally by Monday Nov. 5th then I will be induced. That being said since my appointment not much progress has happen (well that I know of). I feel like I am at a standstill. But, who knows labor could be around the corner! :)
My Mom came into town Friday night! I am relieved that she is here so I can go into labor anytime. However, my best friend Shannon is down and out with a cold and stomach flu! Double whammy!!! PRAYING she gets better so she can be here to witness Baby Girl being born! Everyone seems to be on high alert, lol.

My chair came in Friday. So her room is now complete and waiting! :)

We are getting excited to meet her and anxious to get here.

Pregnancy wise I am over it! I am not sleeping to save my life which yes, is making me slightly cranky and probably not that fun to be around. I can't wait for her to get here so my quality of sleep is a little better! :) Well, this could be my last post being pregnant! So, I will keep you all posted! Until then, xoxo!

38 weeks!

I am 38 weeks now as of Sunday! I sure am feeling it! I feel HUGE (although most may say I am "tiny"), I am not sleeping at all and have no energy! Everything is pretty much in order for her arrival when she chooses to come is completely up to her. :)

Over the weekend we finished up loose ends with her nursery, stocked up on groceries, and went to a couple pumpkin patches! We just spent is enjoying being the three of us. It is so bittersweet to me. I hope that Ethan handles the arrival of his baby sister well. I'm so excited that fall is here. It is my favorite season! I love the cool air and colors of the trees. I love being able to bake and serve soup for dinner. Most of all I love the Warmth and Love that the holiday season brings. It make is happy! This year we will be blessed with a little fall baby which makes it even more special! :)

I've been working on Ethan's Halloween costume. He is going to be Woody from Toy Story. Anthony and I's costumes aren't as elaborate. I am going to be a ghost and Anthony a pumpkin. We didn't feel like investing a lot in case we are in the hospital or at home with a newborn! :)

Her Nursery is pretty much complete. We need a couple finishing touches that we can get here and there. My Mommy chair is order and suppose to be here any day now, hoping is arrives before she does! :)

Pregnancy wise things are going good! I am having NO LABOR SIGNS! I have been having more and more braxton hicks but they are not progressing or painful. We had out Doctors appointment last Friday. Went over when is a good time to head to the hospital if i am contracting. He will be checking me for dilation this coming Friday. If I am he may want to induce me. He is leaving out of town Nov. 1-3. I really want my own Doctor to deliver her. He is the one that has been through this whole thing with us, he knows my birth plan and he delivered Ethan. Its a decision we will have to make come Friday if that is in fact the situation. If not we wait more! These next 2 weeks are going to be the longest two weeks ever! I will keep everyone posted as to what is happening! I just ask one thing! Please keep in mind I am 38 weeks pregnant and a tad sensitive at this point! :) LOL!

Well I hope that everyone is enjoying their week! Until next time... xoxox!

37 weeks - full term!

Hello 37 weeks! Full term is here! Can you believe it?! I sure as heck can't! We had a doctors appointment on Friday! All is looking well she is, in fact a she! Anthony needed a double check since everything, and i mean EVERYTHING is pink! :) She is also head down. Pretty crammed but content for the time being! I doesn't look there will be any concern as of now about her fluid or anything. So she can make her appearance whenever she wants (hoping it's not when my Doctor is on vacation)!

We installed the car seat in perpetration for her arrival. I am packing our bags also. It's exciting to think she will be here in just a short amount of time!! My diaper bag that was ordered a couple weeks ago is finally shipped and due to arrive on Monday (YAY!)!!! Last thing up to bat is the arrival of my Mommy chair for her room! I can't wait to see everything come together! :)

Pregnancy wise things are great. I am feeling as huge as a house. Also to the point of being "over it"! I like to think I handle pregnancy well but these last few weeks are just plain tiring! I think having a newborn I will feel more rested than the "uncomfortable, can't find a good position, kicking and jabbing plus peeing 4 times a night" sleep I am getting now! :) But all in good time!

We received the first round of maternity picture from Rachel this week ago! They turned out AMAZING!!!!! I can't thank her enough! <3

Until next week, xoxo!!!

36 weeks!

OMG I am 36 weeks!!!!!!!!!!! 4 more weeks to go! We have kicked things into high gear to prepare for little Miss's arrival! I am feeling scared, nervous and excited! Scared and Nervous of actual labor and delivery. I know, I know I've been through this once already. I think that actually makes matters worse. I know what to expect this time. Although Ethan's L&D wasn't bad it was still intense. Also then I didn't have another little one to think about. I am getting nervous of having two, how Ethan will react to his baby sister, how Anthony and I will handle juggling two. There is tons going through my mind. But, I know once I hold my baby girl in my arms all the worries will be gone. I can't wait!

Over the weekend Anthony and I installed the chandelier into her room. We also found a side table to go next to my Mommy chair. I have completed various projects also. The list is getting shorter (thank God)! This weekend we tackle Big Brothers room. He is getting paint and finally stuff on his walls! :)

Pregnancy wise I am feeling good. My energy meter isn't to full capacity lately. I am feeling HUGE which makes it uncomfortable to sleep! But, I am truckling a long! :) This week we start our weekly appointments. I believe this week we get an ultrasound to make sure she is sitting right. I am excited!!!! :) Until then, xoxo!

36 weeks! 4 more to go!

Ethan wanted to join in! :)

35 weeks!

Hello 35 weeks!!! Things were pretty eventful around here this last week! Two friends and a Cousin had their babies! Grand total; 2 beautiful baby girls and 1 very handsome boy! It has certainly lit a fire under my butt about getting last minute things in order. I love hearing their stories but makes me a little nervous about what my own will entail! I can't wait to meet our little girl!

Things are rocking and rolling in her room. Everything is pretty much done besides finding the perfect Mommy chair and some last minute details! It is looking pretty precious if I do say so myself. My baby shower here on the coast was yesterday. It was so much fun! We all compared stories of our labor and delivery experiences. Those without children listened in and hopefully we didn't scare them out of having kids! :) I received some beautiful and thoughtful gifts! Thank you again to Jamie and Stacy for hosting. You two are the best!

On the pregnancy front this are going great! I had a Dr. appointment on Friday. Her heartbeat is strong and she is just where she is suppose to be! Dr. assured me that she is still cooking as of now! :) I also had my sweet success appointment for my gestational diabetes. Things there are looking good as well. As long as I keep controlling my number through diet I will "graduate" in 2 weeks! Yay me! :) On the downside I had a terrible nights sleep last night. I mean TERRIBLE! Between pregnancy insomnia, fierce heartburn/indigestion and excitement about cousin Laura having just delivered her baby girl there was zero to know sleep for me. UGH! We are starting to get my birth plan in order and make arrangements for Ethan when we are in the hospital. Bags are getting packed! Things are getting real!!!!!! Well until next week... xoxo!

34 weeks!

34 weeks - 6 weeks to go! Getting down to the wire here! :) I am so excited to meet our little girl! Things seem to be moving quickly. Everything seems to be falling into place which I like! :) Over this past week Anthony and I completed the armoire (the project I thought would NEVER end!) I am so please with how it turned out! To think it was a $50 craigslist find is crazy! :)

Also in the Severy house last week one little Ethan James was potty trained! Man, let me tell you that was the toughest week in my Motherhoodin' life! He is one strong willed little man and at times I felt like I was breaking a horse! But I am so trilled to announce that for the time being the Severys' are diaper and pull up free!!!! Anthony was a huge help with the potty training since i am 7.5 months pregnant (what was I thinking?!). I love that he is so hands on with Ethan! He is the best Daddy and Husband ever!

Pregnancy wise I am trucking along! Feel high energy at times, the remainder of the time I feel like I could pass out with exhaustion. She has definitely dropped and is sitting somewhere between my bladder and crotch! I sometimes feel like she might drop out at any second. Yes, that may have been an over share but hey, it's the truth! :) GD is doing well some days my numbers are better than others. Getting in the swing of my diet and I know by the time I get it down I will not need it anymore.

Yesterday my friend and family photographer Rachel Neumann Photography came to our house to snap some maternity pictures of me. I can't wait to see how they turn out. One week from away from her own due date it was a sight to see us two posing and photographing. I can't thank her enough for coming and doing this. Now she can have her baby! :)

This coming weekend is my baby shower here. I am SOO excited to see what my friends Jamie and Stacy have up their sleeves. I have not been given any details and for someone who's not a fan of surprises it is driving me CRAZY!!!!!! They are both so talented I know it will be amazing. I am so blessed to have found such amazing friends here. I love you guys! :) Well until next week, xoxo!

33 weeks!

33 weeks! My days are getting just a tad bit shorter! I'm getting tired much, much easier which results in early bedtimes! :) This past week as been focused on getting things ready for the crib to go in her room. Getting the finals done on the armorie, washing, folding and organizing little girl clothes. I am pretty sure she has Mommy topped with quantity of clothes or a very close second! :) I can't wait to see her in all these little outfits! :)

Pregnancy wise things are tucking along. I have started my gestational diabetes diet. So far my numbers are good! YAY! :) We had a Dr's appointment this past week. Baby Girls is head down now. She has a strong heartbeat. We discussed pain medication while being in labor, pre registry at the hospital, the possibility of being induced with this labor as well. Getting things prepared for her arrival!!!! Up this week, crib arrival and spending time with my little family! Hope everyone has a great week. Until next time, xoxo!

32 weeks - one baby shower down! :)

I am 32 weeks now! 8 more weeks to go! Starting to feel panicked yet a little relief at the same time! (does that even make sense?!) Things are moving right along. The past weekend was my Baby shower in Tulare. It was amazing! My sister-in-laws, Aimee and Teresa along with my Mother in law really made the day extra special. The decorations, food, cake and company were perfect! I loved being able to celebrate our Baby Girl with all our family and friends in the valley. We received some amazing gifts to help get her room in order and prepare for her arrival! I can not express my gratitude enough to all those who came and celebrated with us! It's always great to see family and catch up. It was SOO great seeing my friends from high school. It's pretty amazing that 12 years can pass and our friendships just pick up where they left off. I treasure these ladies and am so blessed to have them in my life! Thank you to everyone who made this day special for us! :)

Pregnancy wise things are going great! I am feel as energetic as possible. My baby appointment is today and the start of the Sweet Success tomorrow. Just starting to prepare physically and mentally for what will be taking place in a short amount of time. I can't wait to meet our precious Baby Girl!

The nursery is coming along. We have finished painting, put the furniture we have in place and started to get some stuff on the walls. Her crib was ordered with gift cards from the shower. The final piece to go in is my Mommy chair! :) I am so excited to see it all together! :)

Hoping everyone has a great weekend! Until next time, xoxo!

31 weeks!

Holy Cow! 31 weeks! :) Happy Labor Day weekend to all! We are spending this weekend relaxing and finishing up the painting! Things are getting down to the nitty gritty!!!! Starting to make my labor and delivery plan, getting together the text tree and thinking about what to bring to the hospital! It's getting real! :) I am so so excited to meet Baby Girl!!!!

Pregnancy wise things are going well! Received a called from the Dr.s office that I for sure have Gestational Diabetes things pregnancy too. I have already made my appointment with the Sweet Success program to help get it under control so I don't have to worry much about it the rest of my pregnancy. Other than a HUGE inconvenience it's important to follow the diet so I don't have to do insulin shots! We don't want that! Other than that just trucking along! :)

Hoping everyone is having a great holiday weekend! Can you believe it is the end of summer?? I'm excited for fall to arrive! :) Happy Labor Day all! Until next week, xoxox!

Guess Baby Girls stats! :)

So, my friend posted to her blog about guessing the baby's stats! I love this idea and thought I would borrow it! (THANKS RACHEL!)

Baby Girl is due November 4th. A couple of facts about Ethan's delivery. He was due December 23rd and born on that date. I was induced on December 22nd. I am going to try not to be induced this pregnancy! :) Ethan weighed 5lbs 13 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. Let the guessing begin!

Please let a comment on this blog post! Thank you! :)

30 weeks!

30 week mark is here! This starts the true countdown!! I am scared, nervous, anxious, and sleepy! I seem to be a ball of emotions lately and have been having some weird dreams. Some terrible, some nice! On top off all this my belly is expanding which is making me a little blah and frumpy feeling. I have a passion for fashion. I love looking put together. Not fitting into my clothes is not fun for me. I feel so silly buying clothes for just a couple more months! BLAH! But, good news ahead! :) Over the weekend we bought all the paint and supplies to paint the Nursery and Ethan's room!! We started on the Nursery first since that room was empty! We are going white and light pink. The white being on the bottom and light pink on the top. It is moving along smoothly and looking fabulous! I can't wait to start moving stuff into place! :) Like I mentioned, we are also painting Ethan's room! His room was converted into a little boy room at the beginning of the year. We have yet to paint or hang things on his walls. So, I am also excited to get his room completed! I am also tackling making him a quilt for his bed since I am not happy with any of the ones in the stores! :)

Pregnancy wise things are moving along. We had our monthly Dr's appointment and everything was good. I say good not great because my numbers for my glucose test were high. Meaning I had to take the 2 (more like 3) hour glucose test which I completed Saturday morning. Praying for good results although I am preparing for the worse outcome. I will more likely have gestational diabetes with her also. So welcome strict diet, finger pokes, low carb-high protein-no sugar diet, and logging everything I eat, yay. (can you feel the love in that yay?! I thought so!). We also booked all are appointments throughout the rest of my pregnancy. 6 more total. Let's just say leaving the appointment I wasn't on cloud 9 like normal. Que the scared, nervous, anxious I mentioned before. However, we did get to hear her strong heartbeat which I love!! :)

Things on the horizon. I am excited that I have not only one but two baby showers coming up! My Mother in law, and 2 sister in laws are throwing me a shower in the valley. I'm excited that my valley friends and family can celebrate with us and not have to travel to far! Also at the end of the month my dear friend Jamie is throwing me one here at home! :) I can not wait to see what she has up her sleeve. 29 weeks & one happy anniversary!

Let's start off by saying a HUGE Happy 4 Year Wedding Anniversary to my wonderfully amazing husband! These past 4 years have truly been the best! I couldn't imagine a better life than the one we share together!! You make me the happiest girl ever! Thank you for being a caring hands on dad to Ethan and our baby girl! They are luck kids to have a father like you! I can't wait to see what the future holds for our little family! I love you so much Babe! <3

This week I am 29 weeks! Time is flying by!!!!! I'm starting to feel the time crunch! Not just to gather the necessities but to also enjoy every minute as a family of 3!! We headed to the beach for a picnic and to SLO for some running around last weekend. I love weekends where we get to spend time as a family. Not having to go somewhere or be on someone else's time! We are always on the go its nice to take it slow and relax sometime. We are hoping to have a get away this weekend for our anniversary (sitter permitting).

On the pregnancy front things are going well. Feeling tired which is mostly because I can't seem to get comfortable with a ball in my stomach. I finally took my glucose test which wasn't as bad as I remembered. I find out the results tomorrow at our monthly appointment! I will update as soon as I know! Send prayers, good vibes and fingers and toes crossed please! Until next week, xoxo!

28 weeks - Welcome 3rd trimester!!!!!

28 weeks and first week of my third trimester! I'm scared!!!! Feeling super duper un prepared, nervous for delivery prep, very anxious to get this pregnancy over and meet our baby girl!!!

This weekend we went camping up at Lake San Antonio with a group from Anthony's work. We had fun despite the 115* heat. Yes, you read that correctly, 115*!!!!! In order to not be miserable you had to be in the water. Ethan did amazing, probably better than Mommy did. He floated in the lake with daddy in his Rocket Ship floaty and loved it. Poor little guy was so exhausted and wanted to take a nap so bad but it was just too hot. He did take a cat nap in my arms. All and all it was a nice trip. But, i am pretty certain this was our last camping trip for awhile. Here are some fun pictures from our trip!

Pregnancy wise the heat is getting to me!!! We've had this horrid heat wave with temps as high as 109*. Which wouldn't be bad if we had a/c. Living in a house that was built in 1930 they did not have those luxuries. We have a swamp cooler which does diddly squat when it's above 99* out. But, we are surviving by spending many afternoons at Target or going to visit Anthony at work in SLO. I am praying with every ounce I have that this week is the last of it!! Other than that i am trucking a long. Heart burn is coming back a little. Baby Girl is kicking like she is trying to bust out. Going to take my glucose test this week (yes, i still haven't done it). Please send prayers that all goes well! :)

Little side note! Anthony and I will be celebrating our 4 year wedding anniversary next week! I just want to say that these past 4 years have been the best! I love spending every moment with my best friend! He is the best husband and father there is!! Thank you Babe for being so amazing! I love you more than words and look forward to what the future holds for us and our little family! <3

Until next week, xoxox!!

27 weeks!!!

Now 27 weeks, this is the last week of my 2nd trimester. I am starting to feel a little panicked. Last weekend was my family, this weekend was Anthony’s. The occasion was Cousin Laura’s baby shower. She is due almost one month before me, also with a girl. Her shower got me anxious for my own! She received so much fun stuff to complete their little girl’s nursery and prepare for her arrival. This put me into panic mode that we are not prepared for her at all! It was great however catching up with his side of the family. We joke that we live in a bubble here and are often out of the loop. It was awesome to see some of the out of town family who were visiting to attend the baby shower. Definitely something that needs to happen more often. While in the valley Anthony and I snuck away while Ethan was napping and finished our baby regiserty at Target. It was so much fun running around scanning baby girls stuff!! I am pretty sure every outfit and pair of shoes got scanned. I cannot wait to dress up my little girl! J

Pregnancy wise things are going great! With the valley heat my legs and ankles swelled. I was NOT a happy camper about this at all. Returning to our normal weather that symptom has subsided. Other than that I am just trucking a long. She is getting more active every day mainly at night which is cutting down on my sleep. I pretty sure from here on out I will never feel fully rested. But you give a little to get a little right?!

We are going camping this weekend or should I say we are attempting to go camping this weekend. With a forecast of 107 we are going to play it by ear. If it is too hot we will pack up and head home. Since we will be gone, again, this will postpone any work on the nursery. Next weekend we are cracking down though!!! J Until next week, xoxoxo!
